The end of 2022 will be welcomed with lots of fans at the World Cup in Qatar, a highly anticipated event after the pandemic.

This year's World Cup will be the 22nd edition of the men's football championship and will be the first time that Qatar will host the event.

The country of Qatar is located in the Middle East, on the Arabian Peninsula. The date of the World Cup was adapted to the local climate, as in summer the temperature exceeds 40 degrees.

The 2022 World Cup will start on November 20th and will last until December 18th, where 32 teams that have been classified will compete in the world cup.

The choice for Qatar was made in 2010, when the FIFA Executive Committee had still decided on the location to be held.

At the time, the World Cup was awarded to countries in pairs, being awarded to Russia and Qatar, which generated a lot of controversy and rumors of corruption.
