In today's article, find out how to transform your audios into text on WhatsApp using a new feature in the application.
Through a recent update, WhatsApp included the option to transform audios into texts, making life easier for users when they cannot listen to audio messages.
On social media, mainly on Twitter, internet users commented a lot about this new feature.
Furthermore, only a group of users is able to use the resource, through the trial version of the app, and there is no scheduled date for other users to test the new feature.
Turn audio into text on WhatsApp
We created a step-by-step guide to help users activate WhatsApp's new feature, which transforms audio into text.
For this tutorial, an iPhone 12, iOS 16.4.1 system was used. Therefore, we recommend that the user makes the necessary adaptations to the instructions to activate the feature on another device.
- On your cell phone, open the WhatsApp app;
- Go to the app settings;
- Access the “Conversations” option;
- Keep lowering the screen and looking for the “Voice message transcription” option;
- Now, to activate the function, move the switch to the right side, making it green;
- And, to deactivate, move the same switch to the left.
After completing these steps, you can enter an in-app conversation to test the functionality of the new feature.
Now, if you didn't find the function in your app, try checking if there is an update available for your app in the app store.
Another new feature from WhatsApp
According to the website WAVetaInfo, the WhatsApp application will soon have a new appearance on the Android system, which will resemble the look presented by the iOS system.
The developers are creating a menu for the messaging app that is more modern, with a minimalist style.
There is still no scheduled date for the launch of this look, but, in general, updates are released first in the test version of the app, called Beta.
